MSEDCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd.), also called Mahadiscom, distributes electricity across all of Maharashtra except Mumbai city. Its service area covers Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur and all rural Maharashtra. Mumbai is served separately by Adani Electricity and Tata Power Mumbai.
To file a complaint, call 1912 which is toll-free from landlines in MSEDCL service areas and available 24 hours. The additional toll-free number is 1800-102-3435. For written billing complaints, email grievance@mahadiscom.in with your Consumer Number (printed on your electricity bill), division name, full address and the specific issue. You can also register complaints online at mahadiscom.in under Consumer Services.
MSEDCL is regulated by MERC (Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission). Billing errors must be corrected within 15 days of the complaint. Power restoration timelines vary by fault type and area classification under MERC standards.
