Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is responsible for water supply and sewerage services across all of Delhi. Common complaints include no water supply, low water pressure, contaminated or discoloured water, pipeline leakage, sewer overflow or blockage, and billing disputes on water bills.
To file a complaint, call the national water helpline 1916 (toll-free, 24/7) or the DJB toll-free number 1800-110-338. Email helpline@delhijalboard.in with your Consumer Account Number (on your DJB water bill), property address, locality and a description of the problem. Online complaints can also be registered at <a href="https://delhijalboard.nic.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">delhijalboard.nic.in</a>. Note the complaint number you receive.
DJB is under the Government of NCT of Delhi. Water supply restoration timelines and billing dispute resolution periods are governed by DJB regulations and the Delhi Water Board Act.
If DJB does not resolve within 7 working days, escalate to the DJB Consumer Grievance Redressal Cell. Further escalation can be done through <a href="https://pgportal.gov.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">CPGRAMS at pgportal.gov.in</a> under Government of NCT of Delhi, or file a complaint with the Delhi Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission through <a href="https://edaakhil.nic.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">edaakhil.nic.in</a>.
