JBVNL (Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited) is the electricity distribution company for the entire state of Jharkhand, covering Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Deoghar, Giridih, Dumka and all 24 districts.

Email cgrf@jbvnl.co.in with your Consumer Number (on your electricity bill), division name, address and a description of the issue. JBVNL is regulated by <a href="https://jserc.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">JSERC (Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission)</a>. Billing disputes must receive a written reply within 15 days. Power restoration timelines are set under JSERC supply code regulations.
If JBVNL does not resolve satisfactorily, approach the JBVNL Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) at jbvnl.co.in. Further escalation is to JSERC at jserc.org or the Electricity Ombudsman of Jharkhand.
