HESCOM (Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited) is the electricity distribution company for Northwest Karnataka, covering Hubli-Dharwad, Belagavi (Belgaum), Gadag, Haveri and Uttara Kannada districts.
Karnataka has five electricity distributors. To file a complaint, call 1912 (24 hours). For transformer failures, call the dedicated toll-free number 1800-425-4754. WhatsApp support is available on 9480883899. Email customercare@hescom.co.in with your RR Number (service connection number on your electricity bill), address, sub-division name and a description of the issue. Online complaints are available at <a href="https://www.hescom.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">hescom.org</a>. Note the complaint reference number.
HESCOM is regulated by <a href="https://kerc.kar.nic.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">KERC (Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission)</a>. Billing dispute responses are due within 15 days. Power restoration timelines are 4 hours for urban areas and 8 hours for rural areas under KERC norms.
If HESCOM does not resolve satisfactorily, approach the HESCOM Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) at hescom.org. Further escalation is to KERC at kerc.kar.nic.in.
