CESC Limited is the electricity distribution company serving Kolkata and adjoining areas in West Bengal, including Howrah, Hooghly and parts of 24 Parganas district.
To file a complaint, call 1912 (24 hours) or toll-free 1800-345-3044. For billing disputes and formal written grievances, email consumerservice@cesc.co.in with your Consumer Number (printed on your electricity bill), full address and a detailed description of the complaint. You can also register at cesc.co.in under Consumer Services. Note the complaint reference number.
CESC is regulated by WBERC (West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission). Billing dispute responses are mandated within 15 days. Power restoration timelines are set under WBERC supply regulations.
If CESC does not resolve satisfactorily, approach the CESC Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) at cesc.co.in, which is free to approach. Further escalation is to WBERC at wberc.gov.in.
