PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) Water Supply Department is responsible for water supply across all 15 administrative zones of Pune city. Common complaints include no water supply or irregular supply, low pressure, contaminated water, pipeline leakage, water meter issues and billing disputes on PMC water bills.
To file a complaint, call 1916 (national water helpline, toll-free, 24/7) or the PMC toll-free number 1800-233-0075. Email waterworks@pmc.gov.in with your Consumer Number (on your PMC water bill), prabhag (ward) number, address and a description of the issue. Complaints can also be registered through the <a href="https://www.pmc.gov.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">pmc.gov.in</a> portal or the FixMyCity PMC app. Note the complaint reference number.
PMC operates under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act and Maharashtra Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Act. If PMC Water Department does not resolve satisfactorily, escalate to the PMC Commissioner's Grievance Cell. Further escalation can be done through <a href="https://pgportal.gov.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">CPGRAMS at pgportal.gov.in</a> under Government of Maharashtra, or approach the consumer court through <a href="https://edaakhil.nic.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">edaakhil.nic.in</a>.
