Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) Water and Sewerage Branch is responsible for water supply and sewerage services across all sectors and phases of Chandigarh Union Territory. Common complaints include no water supply, low pressure, contaminated water, pipeline leakage, sewer overflow and water billing disputes.
To file a complaint, call 1916 (national water helpline, toll-free, 24/7) or MC Chandigarh at 0172-5073400. Email waterworks@mcchandigarh.gov.in with your Consumer Number (on your water bill), sector or phase number, address and a description of the issue. Complaints can also be registered at <a href="https://www.mcchandigarh.gov.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">mcchandigarh.gov.in</a>. Note the complaint reference number.
MCC operates under the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act extended to Chandigarh. If MCC does not resolve satisfactorily, escalate to the Chandigarh Administration through the UT Administration portal at <a href="https://chandigarh.gov.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">chandigarh.gov.in</a>.
