UGVCL (Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited) is the electricity distribution company for North Gujarat, covering Mehsana, Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Arvalli, Mahisagar and Gandhinagar rural areas. Note that Gandhinagar city is served by Torrent Power.
Gujarat has four electricity distributors. Email cgrf@ugvcl.com with your Consumer Account Number (on your electricity bill), circle name, address and a description of the issue. Online complaints are available at <a href="https://www.ugvcl.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ugvcl.com</a>. Note the complaint reference number.
UGVCL is regulated by <a href="https://www.gercin.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">GERC (Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission)</a>. Billing disputes must receive a written response within 15 days. If UGVCL does not resolve satisfactorily, approach the UGVCL Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF). Further escalation is to GERC at gercin.org.
