MGVCL (Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited) is the electricity distribution company for Central Gujarat, covering Vadodara, Anand, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udaipur and Mahisagar districts.
Gujarat has four electricity distribution companies. For West and South Gujarat including Surat and Rajkot, the company is <a href="https://www.complaintmitra.in/en/support-directory/electricity-pgvcl-gujarat-complaint" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">PGVCL</a>. For Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, it is <a href="https://www.complaintmitra.in/en/support-directory/electricity-torrent-power-ahmedabad-complaint" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Torrent Power</a>. For North Gujarat, it is UGVCL.
To file a complaint, call 1912 (24 hours) or toll-free 1800-233-3004. Email cgrf@mgvcl.com with your Consumer Account Number (on your electricity bill), circle name, address and a description of the issue. Online complaints are available at <a href="https://www.mgvcl.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">mgvcl.com</a>. Note the complaint reference number.
MGVCL is regulated by <a href="https://www.gercin.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">GERC (Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission)</a>. Billing disputes must receive a written response within 15 days. If MGVCL does not resolve satisfactorily, approach the MGVCL Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF). Further escalation is to GERC at gercin.org.
