GESCOM (Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited) is the electricity distribution company for North Karnataka, covering Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), Bidar, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal and Ballari districts.
Karnataka has five electricity distributors. For Bengaluru, the company is <a href="https://www.complaintmitra.in/en/support-directory/electricity-bescom-bengaluru-complaint" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">BESCOM</a>. For Northwest Karnataka (Hubli-Dharwad), it is HESCOM. For coastal Karnataka (Mangaluru), it is MESCOM.
To file a complaint, call 1912 (24 hours). For written complaints and billing disputes, use the grievance section at <a href="https://gescom.karnataka.gov.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">gescom.karnataka.gov.in</a>. Provide your RR Number (service connection number on your electricity bill), address, sub-division name and a description of the issue. Note the complaint reference number.
GESCOM is regulated by <a href="https://kerc.kar.nic.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">KERC (Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission)</a>. Billing disputes must receive a reply within 15 days. Power restoration timelines are 4 hours for urban areas and 8 hours for rural areas under KERC norms.
