APDCL (Assam Power Distribution Company Limited) is the electricity distribution company for the entire state of Assam, covering Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Nagaon, Bongaigaon and all other districts.
To file a complaint, call 1912 which is available 24 hours, or toll-free 1800-345-3668. For billing disputes and written complaints, use the grievance portal at apdcl.org. Provide your Consumer Number (on your electricity bill), address, sub-division name and a description of the problem. Note the complaint reference number.
APDCL is regulated by AERC (Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission). Timelines for power restoration and billing dispute resolution are prescribed under AERC regulations.
If APDCL does not resolve satisfactorily, approach the APDCL Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF). Details are at apdcl.org. Further escalation is to AERC at aerc.gov.in.
