Airtel Postpaid Bill Complaint — 121 and 1800-103-4444

Airtel postpaid bill complaints are a distinct category from prepaid network issues, often involving billing cycle disputes. Common complaints include: bill amount higher than the plan tariff, international roaming charges without prior usage confirmation, plan downgrade or upgrade not reflected in billing, late payment fee disputed despite timely payment, double billing for the same cycle, and security deposit refund delays after number cancellation.
To file a complaint, call 121 from your Airtel postpaid number (charges may apply depending on plan) or toll-free 1800-103-4444. Email appellateauthority@in.airtel.com with your Airtel postpaid number, account ID, the specific bill amount in dispute, billing cycle dates and a clear description of the discrepancy. You can also raise the dispute through the Airtel Thanks app under My Plan and Billing. Note the complaint reference number.
Under TRAI billing dispute regulations, Airtel must investigate and respond within 4 working days for clear billing errors, and within 10 days for complex disputes. If you believe the bill is incorrect, you have the right to withhold payment of the disputed amount while paying the undisputed portion, and Airtel cannot disconnect your service for the disputed amount alone during the investigation period.
